Wow, you two have cool posts today, so I feel a little lame! So far, I've been working on templates for my paper dolls this summer, and for a set of them, they had really intricate patterns on their shirts. Because of that I did some doodling, and I'm pretty proud of the way they turned out!

These are the two dolls I finished last night, but the patterns were a lot more intensive originally haha!

Other than that, we had a power outage for a bit. Nobody knows what caused it, but the entire town went completely out! It was the strangest thing! I'm glad power is back and working properly, but supposedly there's going to be a big storm. I only hope to survive. (||´д`)

  1. I had to stay up for the storm tonight! I love thunderstorms, and it was a pretty good show.
    What program do you use to make the paper dolls? It seems like a really complicated and long process.

  2. Ahhh, it was scary, you're crazy! I don't see how you like them so much. ;;;

    These ones took a while because I had to make the designs, but some I can make in twenty minutes or less! I use a Japanese art program called Easy Paintool SAI, because like I voiced quite avidly, I hate photoshop.

    I'm friends with a Chinese girl that makes paper crafts in photoshop, however, and they look so cool!

    That's her blog, hers are a lot more intricate than mine, though.

  3. Your designs are awesome! I bet you will have quite a collection by the time the summer is up! Have you thought of selling them online? What is the most difficult part of the process?

  4. Oh Thank-you! Currently there are 85, but I have a to-do list of over 58 to do. ^^ ;;

    Well, there are other dolls using the same basic template. I made my own base, but with the same idea of folding, so I don't think it'd be very fair. Plus, I love to see it when people make them and take pictures so I'd rather provide them as a gift.

    I guess the most difficult thing is thinking ahead of how it will fold up. The hair especially is hard to match up, so I'm always over layering stuff to see if it'll be long enough to cover what I want to cover.
